Our experts

Mikko is an expert with a versatile education and experience in environmental and process engineering. He is a M.Sc. in environmental science. Mikko has worked for nearly 20 years in projects related to energy, bio- and circular economy, environmental technology, biofuels and engineering. Before becoming an entrepreneur Mikko has worked in leading positions in e.g. WSP Finland and St1 Biofuels.

His special fields of expertise include: process and concept design, feasibility analysis, cash flow analysis, due diligence

Sanna has a doctor’s degree in environmental engineering and bioprocesses. Sanna has 15 years of experience in leading and financing bio- and circular economy related projects in the academy and companies.

Her special fields of expertise include: resource efficiency, use of side streams, carbon footprint, market analysis, financial instruments, investment materials

Jori has worked as an environmental expert in the mobile industry for over ten years. He is an expert in environmental legislation, materials management and material choices when looking at environmental aspects and process development.

His special fields of expertise include: environmental issues in the electronics industry (REACH, RoHS, WEEE), environmental management tools (eg Dassault MCC and PTC Insight)

Maarit has worked, for example, as a Quality and Operations Director in companies in various industrial sectors, as well as in sales and business development roles. She holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Oulu, and her master’s thesis, which focused on the development of services, was rated as the best in the history of the logistics degree program.

Maarit has also worked in both start-up and large growth-oriented companies with a turnover of €80M operating in the international market. Robotics, cleantech, the food industry, and wastewater treatment products, as well as services related to business development, have played a key role in her career.

​Eelis is a  Doctor of Laws from the University of Lapland and a Master of Science (Tech.) from the University of Oulu. He  has just finalized his dissertation on environmental and commercial law at the University of Lapland.

His special fields of expertise include: business law, environmental and tax law, commercial and technical affairs, permits, IPR

Tatyana works at Macon as an expert of international trade. She has a Master of Arts degree from the University of Tampere (Multilingual Communication & Translation) and also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in business logistics.

Tatyana works as an international trade consultant and business educator and has long-term experience in CEO, sales management and marketing management positions. Thanks to it, she has an extensive international network of experts especially in the chemical and minerals industries (e.g. EU, Russia, Persian Gulf area, Africa and China).

Hanna has graduated as a Master of Science (Tech.) in process engineering from the University of Oulu and is now studying for a doctoral degree. She is specialized in bioprocess engineering, and her research is related to biological treatment of sulfate- and metals-containing waters. Hanna has worked in projects which aim to reduce environmental impacts of mining activity. Development and testing of biological water treatment methods in laboratory scale are area of her expertise.

Sanni is a versatile designer (BA, University of Lapland), who aims in making things visually understandable and appealing. Sanni specializes in graphic design for both printed and digital media e.g. layouts, figures, and infographics as well as 3D modeling and visualizations. Sanni has years of experience working especially with cleantech projects.

Sanni works as an expert at Macon through her company Muodo.fi
